5 Things We Learned... Florian Tomballe

Florian Tomballe is an artist based in Antwerp. Weeks before COVID19 lockdown, I had the pleasure of visiting his studio, discovering amazing figures and sketches amongst piles of plaster and charcoal shavings. To meet Florian is to encounter someone with a deep delight in what he creates and its end to end process. Florian’s work evolves as his imagination evolves. He’s not afraid to veer into new pathways of subject matter or material. He’s OK to depart from last year’s style, in favor of following current interests and passions.
