5 Things We Learned... Linda Jaquez
Linda Jaquez [Há-kes] is an Architectural & Commercial photographer who I had the pleasure of working with at Peter Marino Architect. Linda has contributed weekly to The New York Times Real Estate section, captured construction sites for the Westfield World Trade Center, shot interiors for Tiffany & Co, as well as special editorial projects for Hearst Publications. She’s expanded into the world of digital advertising, as an on-set photographer working with J3, the award-winning media agency for Johnson & Johnson. After attending Brooks Institute of Photography, Linda discovered her passion for architecture and interiors while working at Peter Marino Architect. After many years of being exposed to such projects for Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Loewe, Linda became an expert in high-end retail and residential interiors, developing a passion for the craft of the creative process. Currently, Linda works globally with a studio based in The River North Art District of Denver, Colorado.

What made you...you?
Having the freedom to play in the mountains behind my house in Colorado. Taking my first photography class in 8th grade and falling in love with the dark room. Being forced to dance ballet throughout my entire childhood even though I was a tom-boy to the fullest extent. Spending my 20s in Los Angeles getting into anything that intrigued me. Spending my 30s in NYC creating content that was important to me.
When are you happiest?
Right after a successful photo shoot I meet up with my wife and discuss the entire experience. Usually over a G&T.
Would you rather have a muse or be a muse?
Having a muse is a must.
Who do you admire?
Cindy Sherman, Julius Shulman, Helmut Newton, Zaha Hadid, Jamel Shabazz, Martha Cooper and Joan Jett.
What is important?
Honesty in work, life and love.
